Everyone loved my upcycled clothing at the Ogden Music Festival this past summer! Many of my pieces are created over several weeks or even months. Each and every one is made with the utmost love and care. Since my creations are all hand made by me, you will never see someone else wearing your same outfit. Each piece is 100% original, hand made and one of a kind!
How It All Started
I first got the idea to start doing fringe shirts when I was cleaning out my closet a few years back. I had so many really cute old t shirts that hadn’t been warn in years for one reason or another. Either they were torn, stained, had holes or something else that made them unworthy of the regular wardrobe rotation.
Just as I was about to haul that box off to the local thrift store for donation it occurred to me that these shirts may just have some life left in them yet. I dug out my favorite Led Zeppelin tee, grabbed the scissors and went to work.
The results were amazing! I turned that beat up old shirt with the hole in the sleeve into a cute little crop top with a fringe bottom. Since the tie in the back is adjustable it fit my body perfectly and looked super cute when matched with a pair of cut-off shorts. Before I knew it my friends were all asking me to make them one out of their favorite old retired tee’s and thus was born Chrystle Moon’s Creations!
Lots More To Come
I made these adorable upcycled fringe shirts last summer and they were a total hit. We ended up selling out at the first show so I have been busy building up my inventory to make sure that doesn’t happen again this year. I am working on lots of unique designs for the upcoming 2019 festival season and I look forward to sharing them with you all in the next few weeks!
Be sure to check out my events page to see where I’ll be next! I have several pop-up shops in the works for the spring months and will be updating my calendar as those dates are confirmed.
Touch me my sweet lover
Heal me with your hands
Sit back in this moment now
Let’s forget all our plans
There is no other place
Where I feel more alive
Where energy flows mercilessly
And passions thrive
The inexplicable connection
Between you and I
Is my driving force
It’s what gets me by
In the darkness of silence
In the calm of the tide
my love you will hide
And no other place
Will you feel more at home
Nestled so deeply
In the sanctity of the throne
Last month I had the pleasure of attending the Beaver Mountain Music Festival for the first time. Here is my review of the festival from a Vendor’s perspective.
The setting was absolutely gorgeous! The venue was nestled in between the beautiful mountains of Logan Canyon. I loved the fact that there was easy access to water, power, wifi and other services that are typically hard to come by with these types of events.
In year’s past I would typically wrap up the festival season at the Roots and Blues festival at North Fork Park in Eden, but since they cancelled that event last year this was the perfect alternative. Not only did they have a great bluegrass and acoustic stage, but they also had an “electric forest” that was setup with the most amazing lights and laser shows I’ve ever seen in my life! The music was pretty incredible too! I’m not a huge fan of EDM but some of the local DJ’s were extremely talented.
The vendors area was a bit unique because we were spread out in a long line on the road, rather than being on the grassy area which I’m used to. The set up was okay but I would have preferred to see the stage. Something about being able to see the stage and hear the music let’s you feel like you’re still a part of the scene even if you can’t leave your booth!
Pixie and the Partygrass Boys kicked things off on Friday night and they’re always full of energy and good vibes.
Sammy Brue – I’ve been watching this kid come up as a youngster since he was 13 performing as a “tweener” at the Ogden Music Festival.
DJ Diggabeatz – He wrapped up the show as the Saturday night headliner and his music and energy were off the charts!!
Hope to see you there next year!
